Like many of CSI shows, the setting is in a place of constant violence and illegal activity. This show is set in Miami, Florida, a place of drinking and partying. Causing many of the culprits to be young and violent. Drugs, gangs, and alcohol are reoccurring themes in the show which is a cause of the location, being in Miami. Many of the episodes are of college students seeking revenge, or of prostitution and drugs. Violence is the main theme in the show, but justice is always served.
